Senate Democrats are proposing that the federal federal government cancel student loan payments throughout the coronavirus outbreak and forgive at minimum $10,000 of the debt for every single borrower. 

The program unveiled on Thursday by Senate Minority Chief Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.,  and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., amongst other Democrats, goes substantially further more than the Trump administration’s approach of waiving fascination on federal college student loans for the duration of the nationwide crisis.
