Dallas Mavericks proprietor Mark Cuban said Thursday he did not think the NBA would suspend the time thanks to the coronavirus.
“This is new territory for all of us,” Cuban claimed on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Cuban claimed he tackled his team Wednesday ahead of the NBA’s announcement to pause its time indefinitely. The league took the action following a player on the Utah Jazz analyzed optimistic for COVID-19.
Cuban explained he informed the group he considered there was a 5% or 10% possibility at the most that participate in would be suspended.
“I didn’t consider it was a probable result,” he said.
When Cuban listened to the announcement, he mentioned, “I definitely was surprised.”
Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur, explained the Mavericks have been conscious of the hourly staff who will be unable to perform at the team’s video games.
“Just owning some temporary discussions yesterday with some of the hour-to-hour folks past night, they have been of course worried,” he said. “So we’ll place together a program for them.”
