NYC Mayor de Blasio holds press conference on the coronavirus

New York Town Mayor Monthly bill de Blasio is keeping a press conference Friday to update the public on the coronavirus outbreak, which has infected more than 57,100 people today in New York City.

On Thursday, de Blasio declared that the New York Metropolis Division of Health and Mental Hygiene would revise its past advice on facial area coverings, telling New Yorkers to start covering their faces with a home made mask, scarf or bandana when venturing exterior.

De Blasio cautioned residents against wearing surgical masks or other professional medical-grade masks, worrying that it would make the lack for personal protective machines in hospitals even even worse.

“When you consider of masks, you assume of what our well being treatment workers and very first responders will need, and individuals treasured supplies that we’re bringing in, those people PPEs, that is for them and all those persons at the front line who need it,” de Blasio claimed.

Before on Friday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo saidNew York state claimed its major amount of new fatalities in 24 hours, recording 562 new deaths for a complete of 2,935.
