The Federal Reserve is expanding its asset purchases to include municipal bonds

The Federal Reserve reported Friday it would prolong its asset buy system into shorter-term municipal bonds.

As a result much, the central financial institution has limited its attempts to Treasurys and mortgage loan-backed securities in an energy to retain liquidty flowing via the program and to stabilize credit history markets.
